Namra YouTuber arrested for threatening businessman in fake rape case

Namra Qadir, a Delhi-based YouTuber was detained by Indian police on suspicion of honey trapping and extorting over Rs 8 million from businessman while threatening to implicate him in rape case.
Gurugram Police detained and brought before local court YouTuber Namra Qadir, who has more than 200,000 Instagram followers and 600,000 YouTube subscribers. Indian media claims that YouTuber was given to police for four-day custody. On November 24, aggrieved businessman who owns and operates an advertising agency filed complaint against Qadir, alleging that she had threatened to launch false rape case against him and had demanded money.
He said that they met at hotel on Sohna Road in Gurugram to ask YouTuber to spread word about his business. Qadir is said to have taken Rs 2.5 lakh up front but did not use YouTube channel to promote his business.
After businessman asked why she wasn’t doing anything, YouTuber honey set him up in honey trap and made him pay Rs 8 million. According to complaint, YouTuber invited him to hotel room and gave him something that made him drunk. He also said that accused made an offensive video of him and then tried to get him in trouble for it. Indian police say that Qadir is married and has child. Virat Beniwal, her husband has been on run and people are looking for him.–Agencies
