Nadeem shines again, bags gold medal in Islamic Games 2022

KONYA: Commonwealth Games gold medalist Arshad Nadeem continued to shine at the international level as he claimed another gold medal for Pakistan in the ongoing Islamic Solidarity Games 2022. Arshad, fresh from his Commonwealth Games glory, continued to shine in Athletics for Pakistan at the international level as the national athlete has bagged a gold medal in the Javelin throw in the ongoing Islamic Games.

The star athlete, coping with an elbow and knee injury, displayed his domination over his rivals and left them behind with a big margin to run away with the highest prize in the competition.

The 25-year-old athlete gathered the courage, defied the injury and threw the javelin with all his force as his spear amassed 88.55m, set Islamic Games record before getting his hands on the gold. It is pertinent to mention here that Arshad displayed astounding performance in the recently-concluded Commonwealth Games as he became the first South Asian athlete to breach 90 metres mark and the first Pakistani athlete to bag a gold medal in the Athletics after 52 years.
