LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) summoned Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI Chairman Imran Khan in Toshakhana case. According to details, accountability watchdog summoned Bushra Bibi on March 21. Summons were handed over at Zaman Park by NAB team.

It may be noted that earlier, Bushra Bibi and other PTI leaders were summoned in Toshakhana case on March 9, but they did not show up. Toshakhana issue became major sticking point in national politics after Election Commission of Pakistan disqualified PTI Chief for making “False statements and incorrect declaration” last month.

Judgment added that former premier was found to be indulged in corrupt practices under sections 167 and 173 of Constitution. “Criminal proceeding will be initiated against him over filing false statement.”

“As per statement of Imran Khan he had purchased gifts from Toshakhana paying 21.564 million rupees while Cabinet Division said that gifts had value of 107.943 million.”

“Amount in his bank account was around half of value of state gifts. Imran Khan was bound to declare cash and bank details in his returns but he didn’t declare it,” Election Commission of Pakistan decision read.
