KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has closed assets beyond known sources of income inquiry against Pakistan Peoples’ Party leader Manzoor Wassan. NAB officials during hearing in Sindh High Court informed bench that inquiry against Manzoor Wassan has been closed as allegations were not proved against him.

“Cannot continue inquiry against Manzoor Wassan,” NAB officials were quoted as saying before SHC. After response of NAB, Sindh High Court closed application. According to NAB, PPP leader is accused of making assets beyond his known sources of income and owns benami properties too. National Accountability Bureau failed in filing references against PPP stalwart despite passage of two years.

During hearing, SHC gave time to NAB to decide on ongoing inquiry against Manzoor Wassan and NAB kept on bargaining time.
