NA Speaker accepts 35 resignations of PTI members

Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf accepted resignation of 35 members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Election Commission has also de-notified 35 members. Raja Pervez Ashraf has confirmed that he has accepted resignation of 35 members of PTI.

Notification of Election Commission of Pakistan reads as “Consequent upon acceptance of resignations by Hon’ble Speaker, National Assembly of Pakistan and in pursuance of Notification No F.21 (4)/2022-lagis January 17, 2023 of National Assembly of Pakistan, Election Commission of Pakistan hereby de-notifies following members of National Assembly of Pakistan with immediate effect”.

Among members of National Assembly whose resignations were accepted, Pervaiz Khattak, Qasim Suri, Asad Qaiser, Ali Amin Gandapur, Noorul Haq Qadri, Attaullah, Raja Khurram Nawaz, Imran Khattak, Awami Muslim League Chief Sheikh Rasheed, Murad Saeed, Umar Ayub Khan, Shehryar Afridi, Sadaqat Ali Khan, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Sheikh Rashid Shafiq and others.  Apart from this, resignations of Mansoor Hayat Khan, Fawad Ahmed, Sanaullah Khan Mastikhel have also been approved. Resignations of Hammad Azhar, Shafqat Mehmood, Aamir Dogar, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Zartaj Gul, Faheem Khan, Saifur Rehman, Alamgir Khan, Ali Zaidi have also been accepted.
