ISLAMABAD: National Assembly unanimously passed a unanimous resolution condemning ongoing Israeli aggression against people of Palestine. Resolution was moved by Pakistan Peoples’ Party member National Assembly Shazia Marri. She said that all political parties in House had signed resolution.

Resolution recognised this day as International Day to Combat Islamophobia and reiterated that Islam is religion of peace, tolerance and acceptance. “House recognises this day as International Day to Combat Islamophobia. It reiterates that Islam is religion of peace, tolerance and acceptance” resolution said.

Resolution, “Categorically condemns Israel’s war on Palestine, where latest attack cost 21 lives of Palestinians standing in line for aid during holy month of Ramadhan denounces continued Israeli aggression, which has led to loss of over 30,000 lives since October 7, 2023.”

It called upon federal government to play more proactive role in pushing international community to enforce ceasefire.
