NA body pass ‘Imports, Exports (Control) (Amendment) Bill 2022’

ISLAMABAD: Standing Committee on Commerce unanimously passed Imports and Exports (Control) (Amendment) Bill, 2022. “Imports and Exports (Control) (Amendment) Bill, 2022 (Government Bill) as introduced in National Assembly may be passed,” committee unanimously recommended.
Committee met afternoon in Parliament House here under MNA Khursheed Ahmed Junejo to discuss performance of Ministry of Commerce and its attached departments.
Committee, while discussing performance of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan directed that Ministry of Commerce may introduce an appraisal system for commercial attaches and bound them to achieve targets set by government so that Pakistani exports could advance in prompt way.
Committee therefore decided to invite Secretary Finance and Secretary Industries and Production so that concrete measures could be adopted to expand network of Pakistani exports worldwide.
Rasheed Ahmed Khan, Rana Iradat Sharif Khan, Syed Javed Ali Shah Jilani, Tahira Aurangzeb, Wajiha Qamar, Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani and senior officers of concerned ministry and departments attended.
