ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Caretaker Prime Minister on Human Rights and Women Empowerment Mushaal Hussain Mallick praised Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar for raising his voice for oppressed Kashmiris people in his address to UN General Assembly (UNGA) session.
Addressing an awards distribution ceremony arranged by Bright Future Society, Mallick said that Prime Minister Kakar's speech at 193-member UNGA not only exposed India's "Fascist and notorious face" before world but also brought brutalities of Indian forces to international limelight.
"I am grateful to Prime Minister for highlighting state terrorism in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir at global stage," Mallick said. "PM as Ambassador and advocate of Kashmiris highlighted worst human rights violations in occupied valley."
Special assistant said that India's fascist Narendra Modi-led government had turned scenic Kashmir Valley into killing field, adding that all top Hurriyat leaders, including her husband Yasin Malik, had been detained in fake, fabricated and politically-motivated cases to silence their voices.
Moreover, she added, that Hindutva regime even subjected other minorities to worst state oppression. She stated that recent killing of Sikh separatist leader in Canada exposed ugly face of this Hindutva regime before world. Mallick vowed that Pakistan would continue to expose "Hindutva fascist regime" at every forum of world. "Oppressed Kashmiri people see Pakistan as beacon of their hope for achieving their right to self-determination."
She urged international community and United Nations (UN) bodies to take immediate steps to resolve Kashmir issue and secure release of detained Kashmir leaders and other freedom fighters because regional peace would remain elusive without Kashmir settlement.
