Murtaza Wahab assures action against illegal parking

KARACHI: Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab assured to take action against illegal parking on road from Peoples Square to II Chandrigar Road and said that illegal parking would not be tolerated in any area of city. In a telephonic conversation with senior leaders of Pakistan Peoples’ Party Najmi Alam, Munir Gadi and Izhar he assured to take action against illegal parking on road. He that said illegal parking would not be tolerated in any area of city.

He said that instructions were being issued to relevant authorities in this regard. Earlier, PPP leaders visited area on invitation of Mohalla Committee, Burns Garden and Muhammad Bin Qasim Road. Residents of area told PPP leaders that charged parking had been started on road leading to II Chundragarh Road. There are residential buildings, and business offices on one side of highway and government residence on other side.

Charged parking management also started collecting car parking from residents. Citizens living in area have also protested against charged parking in residential area, but problem had not been resolved yet. PPP leaders said that service to people is their slogan. “PPP believes in giving relief to people,” they added. PPP leaders said that they were well aware of problems caused by illegal parking to residents.
