MQM session in Bahadurabad chaired by Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui also discussed party’s protest on January 9, issue of delimitation and other matters, sources said.

According to sources, meeting reviewed preparations for party’s protest on January 9 and decided to expand protest to Hyderabad. Meeting also held detailed review of decisions taken by Sindh government. Party session also decided to protest against attitude of Peoples’ Party and delimitation issue in Hyderabad, party sources added.

MQM-P earlier decided to hold protest rally on January 9 against non-implementation of an agreement signed with Pakistan Peoples’ Party-led Sindh government. Decision was taken during workers convention of MQM-P Rabta Committee held in Karachi.

MQM-P rejected delimitations of new constituencies and voter lists ahead of Local Government elections, scheduled to take place on January 15.
