Karachi: National census is our red line, we cannot remain silent on it as population of Karachi is more than 50 percent of total population of Sindh.

Senior Deputy Convener MQM-P Farooq Sattar says, “People of all linguistic units should be counted. Sindh government is responsible for this. They want to keep Sindh as their colony”.

If state and its institutions do not allow citizens of Sindh to be counted correctly, then do not have good expectations from us.

Senior Deputy Convener Syed Mustafa Kamal narrates, “We have contacted federal government and Ahsan Iqbal. Date of post-census survey should be increased.

Population of various districts of Sindh has increased by more than 20 to 25 percent. But in Karachi and Hyderabad, increase could not exceed 20 percent”. Sindh government is afraid that next Chief Minister may not come from Karachi. They are people, not sheep or animals, if they do not get rights, they will be free in their actions.
