KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan’s Rabita Committee launched a broadside at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry.

Taking a dig at PTI, Rabita Committee claimed, “Corruption was at its peak in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during tenure of PTI. Fawad Chaudhry should talk about embezzlement in development funds for province. Where has Fawad Chaudhry been during process of census for last two months?” Rabita Committee said that first point of agreement with PTI was to ensure fair census. “It was told to PTI and other parties to extend support to us in bid to support transparent census. But PTI continued to indulge into politics of hypocrisy,” it added. PTI would not be able to deceive people of Karachi from now [on[, said Rabita Committee.

Meanwhile, MQM-P delegation comprised of Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Dr Farooq Sattar, Mustafa Kamal and Javed Hanif met Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and tabled their reservation regarding ongoing census in metropolis.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan conveyed its reservations before the Governor of Sindh Kamran Tessori against the digital census in Karachi, yesterday.

They discussed overall political situation in province, census, infrastructure improvement measures of Karachi and mutual interest and cooperation of federal government in other matters.

As per sources, MQM-P delegation also discussed details of its meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal. Party leadership urged Governor to talk to federal government to play their role to resolve reservations of MQM-P.

Governor Tessori acknowledged reservations of MQM-P and said that flawless census should be carried out not only in Karachi but across Sindh otherwise province will be deprived of resources, funds, projects and basic facilities.
