KARACHI: Currently, seat of opposition leader is being held by PTI's Haleem Adil Sheikh, while in current defections of MPAs, PTI has lost 10 out of its 30 seats in provincial assembly.
MQM-P, which has 21 seats in provincial assembly has contacted Grand Democratic Alliance, which has 14 seats for support in changing opposition leader, sources said.
They said GDA has not replied to MQM-P yet. Meanwhile, session of Sindh Assembly has been summoned on June 7 in which change of opposition leader will likely come under consideration. Reports also emerged on Sunday that MQM-P had decided to give Pakistan Peoples' Party 'tough time' in Sindh Assembly.
