KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) changed date of protest rally against delimitations of constituencies and reservations with Pakistan Peoples’ Party which was scheduled to take place on January 9. According to details, decision was taken during meeting of MQM-P Rabta Committee, wherein matters related to political situation, Local Government (LG) elections and reservations with Pakistan Peoples’ Party came under discussion.
Sources told that meeting decided not to leave political field empty for any political party, including Pakistan Peoples’ Party. Despite reservations on delimitations of constituencies and voter lists, party would not run away from field, sources added. Meeting also decided to continue its protest movement against ‘pre-poll rigging’.
Earlier in January, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan decided to hold protest rally on January 9 against non-implementation of an agreement signed with Pakistan Peoples’ Party-led Sindh government.
