MQM submits written demands to PM for urban Sindh

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan sent written requests for benefit of urban Sindh in upcoming budget to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
In budget, MQM has asked for 38 billion rupees to be allocated to development of Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur and Nawabshah.
Demands were made to Prime Minister, who was informed that MQM is not part of provincial administration and that federation belongs to us. MQM further demands release of development funds for their MNAs.
MQM also asked to provide full funds for K4 project and complete it under supervision of SIFC. In addition, MQM has insisted that Greater Karachi Sewerage Project be finished in same year.
MQM stated that budget should include funding for Karachi Circular Railway, Green Line and Blue Line.
Financial support has also been demanded for completion of Bin Qasim Textile City project, which includes freight route connecting Karachi Port and Pipri.
