KARACHI: Coordination Committee of MQM-Pakistan has said that Pakistan Peoples’ Party has not fulfilled its promise regarding Sindh Local Government Act and appealed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to play role in fulfilling promise made with party. A meeting of MQM-Pakistan Coordination Committee was held in Bahadurabad under chairmanship of Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. During meeting, Committee members said that PPP had promised to prepare Sindh Local Government Act in accordance with Article according to decision of Supreme Court. Whereas, contrary to decision of Supreme Court, constituencies in Sindh were done by provincial government instead of Election Commission. Meeting said that MQM has always worked to bridge gap between urban and rural areas of Sindh.

Committee also demanded compensation for loss of life and property caused by recent rains and floods.
