‘Monster’ of terrorism to be dealt with full force, COAS briefs PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir expressed their resolve to deal with monster of terrorism with full force. Sources told that Army Chief Syed Asim Munir called on PM Shehbaz Sharif in PM House. Two exchanged views on law and order situation in country and national security related matters. Sources said that meeting between two leaders lasted 30 minutes.

Army Chief gave briefing to PM on law and order situation in country. National Security Committee meeting to be held today also came under discussion. Matter of curbing recent wave of terrorism in country will come under consideration in NSC meeting. Military authorities will give briefing on terrorism and Afghan Border situation in meeting. Briefing will also be given on implementation of National Action Plan. Sources said Army Chief also informed PM with reference to recommendations of 2-day Corps commander conference.        Two leaders while reiterating their resolve said protection of life and property of people will be ensured at every cost. PM paid rich tributes to martyrs of Pakistan Army.

Pakistan Army has reaffirmed its resolve to nip the evil of terrorism in bud with full force and determination.
