Moin Khan Academy holds 5th Swimming Gala in style

Karachi: A prize distribution ceremony of the grand fifth Swimming Gala  organized by Defence Authority Club(MKA) was held at Moin Khan Academy. Speaking on the occasion, former Cricket Great Moin Khan lauded the overwhelming participation as number of swimming enthusiast took part in Swimming  Gala in which a large number of Club members including men, women and children in different categories participated with zeal and enthusiasm.  

Moin Khan commended the Organizers for arranging lively activities of sports which was essential for promotion of healthy and positive trends in society.  He said that a healthy body has a healthy mind and added that sports rejuvenates body, sharpens skills, enlivens spirits and produces agility and strength in body and mind. He said that winning and losing was part of sports but sportsmanship, fighting spirit, perseverance and determination was the essence of games which must remain alive throughout the sports events.

He reiterated that MKA would continue to patronize healthy sports activities in all forms and manifestation. He also commended the services of the Club Secretary Lt Col (retd) Zakaullah Raja for sports. Later, Lt Col (retd) Zakaullah Raja  said that members of all groups including senior members participated in all sports events with great enthusiasm and fun which was encouraging.  He said that the Club would continue to hold the swimming competitions to promote sports and physical activities in the society. In the end the chief guest gave medals and shields to the winners and runner up of various sports events.
