Karachi: PML-N leader and member National Assembly Kesoo Mal Kheeal Das demanded federal and Sindh government to take measures for recovery of girl missing from Sanghar Sindh two years back.
Still girl’s parents and relatives are upset and on several occasions appealed administration to take steps for recovery of missing girl. parents are still staring blue sky in hope of return their daughter who went missing for last two years from village near Sanghar. Missing girl Priya Kumari (7) disappeared from roadside ‘sabil’ on Muharram 10 two years back. Kesoo Das talking on floor said that members of Hindu community used to set up sabils in Muharram days in village to earn respect and showing harmony with mourners of Karbala incident.
Our women, children and elders also go to such meetings and set up free kitchens and potable water camps. Priya Kumari went missing when she was sitting in sabil. Now Muharram has come but she is still missing. She was taken by Sabil? Who has taken her away? He asked. He requested, “Deputy Speaker for rulling on matter as you also belongs to a religion”. We appeal Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to ensure such incident should not be occured in future. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah also ensured minorities rights then why we are facing such situation.
Expressing his apprehensions Kesoo said, “Usually reports appear in social media on missing girls for forced conversion and marriage”. he said, “I am not alleging anyone in particular but there are incidents where girls return after eloping with paramours having knots tied”.
“Daughters of Leela Megwar were forcibly converted and a girl from Karachi and fourteen-year-old after lured was forced to marry. So, how long will this oppression and cruelty befall on Hindu community”, he questioned.
In talks with JUI Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, he told us that Islam forbids such acts and it religion of peace and love. We asked him for his consent. “He assured us of fair minorities’ rights in this regard”. We know everyone in Pakistan is enjoying to perform religious rituals, but it is disease that such practices were being carried out to malign our brotherly ties.
