Miftah acknowledges WB’s support for economic reforms

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has acknowledged continuous support and facilitation of World Bank (WB) for economic reforms in country. According to details, at a meeting with World Bank team here he discussed bank’s initiatives RISE-II and PACE-II programmes.

Team included WB Country Director Najy Benhassine and Programme leader Energy WB Teuta Kacaniku, senior officers from Finance Division, Energy Division and FBR also attended meeting. Miftah Ismail was briefed on progress in RISE-II and PACE-II programmes. Meeting deliberated upon overall progress achieved so far and discussed prior actions to be met for timely completion of these programmes.

Miftah endorsed stakeholder officials for fast-tracking progress of all initiatives and directed for completion of all prior actions required in respect for RISE-II and PACE-II programmes. Miftah Ismail also acknowledged continuous support and facilitation of WB for economic reforms in country.
