Karachi: An 11-member delegation of Sindh Media Forum meeting with Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori led by Forum President Moinullah Shah discussed role of journalism in establishment and stability of democracy, difficulties being faced by journalists and other issues. Governor said that services of journalist community for democracy are worthy of praise. He said that government is ensuring full measures for welfare of journalists, in this regard, bill for protection of journalists has also been approved and establishment of housing society for journalist community is also being implemented.

He said that journalists are fulfilling their responsibility in difficult times, in this regard, I will play my role to end difficulties being faced by journalists. Delegation thanked Governor for listening them. President of delegation said that journalist community has great expectations from Governor. It is hoped that Governor will play an active role in solving problems of journalist community. He said that reception will be organised for senior journalists soon. Khalid Khan, Syed Shakeel Ahmad Shah, Aslam Ali Khan, Rahab Gahu, Imtiaz Shah, Ahsan Jatoi, Qadir Abbasi, Abdul Sattar and Zulfiqar among participants.

Meanwhile, Rahmat al-Alamin (PBUH) conference was held atn Governor House. Number of people from all over country participated in conference. Governor said that he welcomes participants in conference, there is no doubt that our Prophet (PBUH) is mercy of worlds. Prophet (PBUH) abolished all rules of misguidance. Muhammad Hasan Haseebur Rahman, Sajjada Nashin of Dargah Aliya Eidgah Sharif Rawalpindi said that life of beloved master is torch and path of Prophet (PBUH) is clear distinction between truth and falsehood. Later special prayers were offered for development, security and prosperity of nation.
