Members Al-Mustafa Welfare Society discusses welfare plans with Governor Tessori

Karachi: Delegation of trustees of Al-Mustafa Welfare Society led by Haji Hanif Tayyab and Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori discussed aims and objectives of society and matters of mutual interest. Governor said that sponsoring orphans is greatest service and Haji Hanif is an association in itself. Al-Mustafa Welfare Society has set great example of selfless service to society. Kamran said that continuous trust of trustees of society on Tayyab is proof of his high character.

Governor assured trustees of all possible support and said that my services are always available for Al-Mustafa Welfare Society. Earlier, Tayyab briefed Governor about future plans of society, while trustees of society appreciated cooperation of Governor.

Meanwhile, Governor visited Islamia College on MA Jinnah Road. Former Gilgit-Baltistan Information Technology Minister Hussain Shah was also with him. Governor was welcomed by Hasna Qureshi, granddaughter of AM Qureshi, founder of Islamia College Building. Governor offered fateha at graves of Syed Sulaiman Nadvi, Allama Shabbir Ahmed Usmani, founder of Islamia College AM Qureshi, co-founder of Pakistan Haji Muhammad Hussain Qureshi, former Governor State Bank Zahid Hussain and Barrister Syed and Ahmed Ashraf. He said that this is historical building, where personalities who have rendered valuable services to Pakistan are buried, adding that establishment of 18 educational institutions including Islamia College is great achievement of AM Qureshi.

Moreover, Governor visited Karachi Central Jail. IG Prisons Qazi Nazir Ahmed welcomed him. Governor reviewed facilities being provided to prisoners. He inquired about treatment of prisoners and provision of food according to prison manual. Governor also visited barracks where he was imprisoned in 2008. Governor listened to music and also taste food being provided to inmates. He visited religious seminary, computer lab and fine arts centre.
