Karachi: A tree plantation meeting was held in which it was planned to plant around two million saplings and nursery-nurtured trees in parts of District Central.

Hazim Bhangwar Assistant Commissioner, Junaid Ahmed, Maaz Nizami and Akhlaq of PEPSI were of the view that in light of Supreme Court directions ‘SAAF GREEN PAKISTAN’ drive will be launched.

Bhangwar and participants of meeting decided in first phase of drive around 250 saplings would be sown around Sakhi Hasan Chowrangi on June 4 (Sunday). According to press release plantation drive is initiated by PEPSI. PEPSI main stakeholder of this cause is trying to plant trees in city to keep environment clean and green. Meeting participants were confident that citizens will also take interest in planting trees and take care of them to flourish.
