Meeting of JAC of KPC demands arrest of killers of Jan Muhammad Maher, Nasrullah Gadani

Karachi: Karachi Press Club President Saeed Sarbazi held joint action committee meeting at Karachi Press Club. Convenor Joint Action Committee and Karachi Press Club Secretary Shoaib Ahmed briefed participants on current situation.

In meeting, PFUJ President GM Jamali, General Secretary PFUJ Dastur AH Khanzada, KUJ President Tahir Hasan Khan, Secretary Liaquat Ali Khan, KUJ Dastur President Hamidur Rahman, KUJ President Ijaz. Ahmad, PEP President Muhammad Jameel, CRA Secretary Rehan Khan Chishti and Karachi Press Club Joint Secretary Muhammad Munsif attended meeting. Expressing concern over non-arrest of miscreants involved and demanding their immediate arrest, meeting described attacks on journalists as conspiracy to kill freedom of press and prevent journalists from their duties.

Meeting thanked President Karachi Press Club Saeed Sarbazi for providing financial assistance to Shaheed Nasrullah Gadani on behalf of Sindh government and for making great efforts for him. There was demand to give relief money for media workers.Meeting demanded from Chief Minister Sindh, Home Minister and IG Sindh to ensure protection of life and property of journalists.
