MD SSWMB directs officials: Ensure proper arrangements on Youm-e-Ali (RT)

KARACHI: Managing Director of Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, Tariq Ali Nizamani, chaired a meeting where he directed all relevant officers and private companies to ensure proper arrangements for Youm-e-Ali (RA) and provide maximum relief to the public.

The meeting was attended by Executive Director of Operations, Ghulam Abbas Memon, along with all concerned officers and representatives of private companies. He further instructed that cleanliness and lime sprinkling around mosques, Imambargahs, and the main procession routes for Youm-e-Ali (RA) on the 21st of Ramadan should be completed promptly. He empha sized keeping dustbins along the procession routes clean and deploying additional staff and machinery. Additional details indicate that the main procession will commence from Numaish Chowrangi in District East and conclude at Hussainia Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar.

To provide relief to the public, complaint camps will be set up, and complaints received through the 1128 helpline and the mobile app will be addressed promptly. Special instructions were given to ensure cleanliness and lime sprinkling, particularly in District East and District South, including major roads such as Numaish Chowrangi, Nishtar Road, M.A. Jinnah Road, Jamshed Road, Shah Najaf Road, Kharadar, and other important thoroughfares. Additionally, instructions were issued for the cleaning of the main roads in District Malir, from Manzil Pump to Gulshan-e-Hadeed. Furthermore, a complaint camp will be set up to provide relief to the public, ensuring that received complaints are addressed immediately. 

The Managing Director of the Solid Waste Management Board also directed complete coordination with DMCs and other relevant institutions to facilitate citizens effectively. In this regard, the public is requested to report cleanliness-related complaints through the following numbers: Helpline Number: 1128, Complaint App: SSWMB Complaints Karachi.
