Mayor Murtaza Wahab praises Water Corp on digitising Hydrant Cell

Karachi: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that main objective of digitising Hydrants Cell Water Corporation is that citizens can easily get chlorinated and purified water tankers.

He announced Water Corporation has launched for first time real time information on water supply through hydrants.

On visiting Hydrants Management Centre Water Corporation Karsaz Mayor Karachi was given detailed briefing by CEO Water Corporation regarding Hydrants Management Centre.

Mayor appreciated efforts of CEO Corporation in connection with establishment of Hydrants Management Centre.

He said that purpose of water tankers service is to provide immediate relief to common citizens living in loss.

He said that through software, public will receive an e-slip in which all information of tanker will be available.

He said that 550 tankers have tracker systems and QR codes installed on windscreen of tankers, QR code will allow public and law enforcement agencies to identify which hydrant tanker is registered to and what is it’s official rates, while illegal tankers will be easily identified by QR code, this will help to control theft of water which is our main objective.

CEO Corporation Syed Sallahuddin Ahmed, PPP leader Karamullah Waqasi, Sikandar Baloch, Nadeem Kirmani and Syed Sardar Shah were present.
