Mayor Murtaza, Gov Tessori discuss KMC, city ongoing projects with fed funding

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab discussed initiatives of KMC for city besides ongoing development projects with federal funding and related issues. Governor said that development of economic artery of Karachi is development of country, restoration of infrastructure of Karachi is most important need of hour. He directed mayor of Karachi to ensure effective cleaning arrangements during Muharram.
Meanwhile, Governor Kamran Tessori acquired 48 shops on rent across Karachi for an affordable ‘Rs 2 Roti’ scheme for masses in city. Earlier, Governor Kamran Tessori announced establishment of 300 tandoors across Karachi. These tandoors will sell roti at an incredibly low price of only Rs 2.
Tandoors will be set up in these rented shops to provide affordable roti to Karachiites. Sindh governor said that process to provide affordable roti to masses from 10 tandoors will start from next week.
Tessori said that process of provision of roti to inflation-weary people for Rs 2 will be started in parts of metropolis and noble cause will be pursued as mission.
Moreover, In third phase of IT courses in Governor House, 35,000 youth from registration number 20001 participated in test. Governor Kamran Tessori along with Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab were present. Addressing youth participating in test, Governor said that IT programme has been started to give youth better future. He said that he wanted to make Karachi centre of IT and with same spirit he would continue public welfare measures.
