Mayor, CEO Water Corp visit TP-III, discuss funds

Karachi: Water Corporation, Consultant and Contractor agreed upon time frame for completion of Sewage Treatment Plant (TP-III) project after disbursement of funds. Sewage Treatment Plant TP-III project is need of city, it is said in press release issued here. Funds for project will be discussed with caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar.

In this connection, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab and Chairman Water Corporation visited Sewage Treatment Plant TP-III Mauripur. Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad, Town Chairman Keamari Humayun Khan, Deputy Parliamentary leader KMC Dil Muhammad, CEO Water Corporation Syed Sallahuddin Ahmed, COO Water Corporation Asadullah Khan, PD S-III Muhammad Hanif Baloch along with Consultants of Sewage Treatment Plant TP-III were present.

According to spokesman of Water Corporation, CEO of Water Corporation gave detailed briefing to Mayor Karachi on Sewage Treatment Plant TP-III project and told that 54 MGD of water is being treated from Plant TP-III, while capacity of Sewage Treatment Plant will be increased from 54 MGD to 100 MGD.

He said that work is going on at Sewage Treatment Plant TP-I which will treat 35 MGD of water. CEO requested Mayor to provide funds immediately to complete Sewage Treatment Plant TP-III.

Mayor assured Water Corporation officials that they will discuss with caretaker Chief Minister regarding funds of Sewage Treatment Plant TP-III project.
