Karachi:  Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has approved a three month extension in the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) special concession policy to provide better facilities to citizens.

This extension allows consumers to pay their outstanding bills in easy installments until April 30, 2025. He stated that the primary objective of this policy is to provide financial relief to citizens, enabling them to clear their outstanding bills through installment plans. He urged residents to take full advantage of this opportunity, as increased revenue for KW&SC will help improve water supply and drainage services across the city. Under this policy, retail consumers will receive the following benefits: 35 percent discount on lump-sum payment. 25 percent discount for payments made within six months. 20 percent discount for payments made within nine months.

15 percent discount for payments completed within a year. 10 perent discount for payments spread over 15 months According to a KWSC spokesperson, this policy has led to an increase of Rs 200 million in monthly revenue over the last three months, which is being utilised to further enhance services for Karachi residents.
