KARACHI: Delay defeats justice, therefore, May 9 attacks trial must be completed swiftly as required by Constitution. Hashmat Habib President Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz e Adlia said if strict monitoring is ensured investigating staff and courts can perform their function expeditiously.

According to lawyer military trial of retired General Faiz Hameed is unfolding many aspects leading to national crimes like; “Tash ke bawan pattay”. Every day it is going to confirm that government was incompetent in dealing with propaganda, because Form 45 and Form 47 was not an issue but piece of  documentary evidences to resolve unnecessary dispute of general election results. Similarly, confusion is being created that Imran Khan cannot be tried by military court. he said every civilian who is subject to Army act can be tried in military courts. Cases of Parvaiz Musharraf, Jhanda chi-chi and Total petrol pump blast and many others including Safora Goth case are ready references.   He stated that demand for open trial of Faiz Hameed and Imran Khan has been raised which is baseless. He said there is no condition provided in military laws to hold open trial, in fact it is tradition but practically military court is bound to allow lawyers of choice of accused, his witnesses and all persons relevant to trial and it is discipline to keep public away from court rooms.
