RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad on Friday took a jab at rival Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) chief organiser Maryam Nawaz by saying that even her husband Captain (retd) Safdar is not buying the narrative she is trying to build.

The AML chief expressed these remarks while addressing to the party activists, stating that PML-N chief organizer Maryam Nawaz should have taken her husband into confidence as their party’s narrative is not being accepted in her own household.

Sheikh Rasheed also heavily criticised Finance Minister Ishaq Dar for the current economic crisis and said that ‘Dracula’ (Ishaq Dar) used to say he will bring back the US dollar under Rs 200 but now the greenback is near Rs 300.

He also took aim at the current foreign minister and PPP chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari by saying that he is afraid of Sheikh Rasheed so is visiting countries for no reason. “He (Bilawal) sometimes visits a country I had to search on a map,” remarked Sheikh Rasheed.

It is pertinent to note here that PPP leader Nasir Hussain Shah also reacted to the AML chief’s statement and has warned him that he must not use such language for others which he cannot tolerate for himself. Shah said that Sheikh Rasheed had started crying after days in jail.
