LAHORE: PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz has resorted to Lahore High Court (LHC) for return of her passport. A miscellaneous petition was filed by her through her counsel Amjid Pervez advocate.  

Maryam Nawaz has taken plea in petition NAB kept her passport under custody in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case. No reference has been filed despite lapse of 4 years. Keeping passport under custody is violation of basic constitutional rights.  It has been said in petition no one can be kept deprived of basic constitutional rights for indefinite period. I will not flee anywhere.

I had returned to Pakistan after leaving my mother on death bed. No ban has been imposed on accused for going abroad in NAB law. She pleaded in petition that she had deposited Rs 70 million as security. She said, “I was granted bail on merit in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.”
