Maryam Nawaz lambastes Imran on acquiring Toshakhana properties

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz lambasted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, saying latter had acquired properties for his generations by selling Toshakhana gifts.

Addressing an event here, Maryam Nawaz took dig at Imran Khan over electoral campaign, saying, “Imran Khan says that I (Maryam) have freedom of staging electoral campaign but not him. We have faced difficulties for four years but nobody pointed fingers on Imran Khan.”  She lamented Imran Khan did not even reach house of PTI worker Ali Bilal, also known as Zille Shah. She added, “Zille Shah’s mother said Imran Khan’s sons are living abroad but my son has been killed.”

Lashing out at Khan over matter of cipher, she said, “To play with cipher means to play with country. I am fully confident that Imran Khan has been launched to worsen situation of country. How can you become premier after you took country to quagmire in four years.”  Reminding Imran Khan of qualities of “True leader”, she said, “True leader always leads from front.”

She recounted tenure of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, saying, “Country witnessed record growth during tenure of Nawaz Sharif.” Meanwhile, PML-Nawaz senior leader Hamza Shehbaz will return to country on today in bid to play an active role in his party’s electoral campaign. Sources privy to development said in connection with election, Hamza Shehbaz would be given key responsibility get PML-N leaders and workers active for electoral campaign.
