VEHARI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz lambasted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan claiming violence that erupted on May 9 was masterminded by latter.

Addressing youth convention rally, She said Khan did to country what enemies of nation could not able to do adding riots were planned in Zaman Park. She said main point of attack was Jinnah House because various shopping malls and other government installations were not attacked by rioters.

She stressed plan that destroyed enemies’ planes was orchestrated in Mianwali, adding rioters had clear plan where to go on that night.

She highlighted PTI-led protests were an attack on security installations, mentioning basic purpose of attack was to hit sensitive and important properties.

Turning to ‘facilitators’ of Imran Khan, she said they were equally to blame for riots occurred on May 9 because they supported PTI’s Chief from 2018 to 2022.

Maryam highlighted that she was not afraid of going to prison unlike Imran Khan because Sharif family was not making efforts to rule over country but for betterment of country.

She claimed PML-N leaders always came to forefront and defended its workers unlike PTI because Imran Khan used his supporters as shied to escape arrest.

She alleged that those who were leaving PTI were accepting that Imran Khan was mainly responsible for May 9 riots adding no party member of PML-N left party when Nawaz Sharif was facing oppression.
