Maritime Minister Sabzwari praises UAE’s aid as 2nd cargo ship arrives

Karachi: Minister Faisal Sabzwari addressing event organised by UAE said that he is grateful for aid sent by friendly countries to flood victims. He said that aid from United Arab Emirates continues, there has been a lot of damage due to floods after rains and most of country has been affected by rains.

Faisal Sabzwari said that Ministry of Maritime Affairs also helping affected flood victims. Aid is ongoing, relief and rehabilitation of flood victims will continue until next year. He said that there is an urgent need for help of friendly countries for rehabilitation of flood victims.

UAE Consul General Bakhit Atiq al-Rumiti said that at this time flood victims need most, it is being delivered along with aid from UAE government, relief goods are being sent by special planes. And it is being delivered to Pakistan through cargo ships. He said that tents have also been set up for flood victims. Medical camps are also being set up on behalf of United Arab Emirates.

On arrival of second cargo ship of relief goods for flood victims from United Arab Emirates Minister Faisal Sabzwari, Bakhit Atiq Rumiti and others were present.
