There is Christmas custom that Maren Morris has been doing for over ten years. Prior to CMA Country Christmas, which airs on December 8, ‘My Church’ singer explained what she and her family do during holiday season in an exclusive video. Maren also made it apparent that her customs are full of enjoyment.
In addition to having complete freedom, Maren considers year 2022 to be personal victory because it allowed her to take her 2-year-old son Hayes, whom she shares with husband Ryan Hurd, on tour without having to choose between being mother and an artist every day. “Bringing my son on road was big one for me,” she noted. “Just being able to be mother and an artist on road simultaneously, not having to split duties or do one or other. Being able to do both, that felt like a personal and professional high.”
“My favourite family holiday tradition is we go to my mom’s side of family typically on Christmas Eve and we do White Elephant or Bad Santa,” Maren said. “We do that game, but then, we also play Left Centre Right. It’s like dice game that you win money on.”
