Man slaughters wife, three daughters in Malir

Karachi: A man attempted to commit suicide after allegedly killing his wife and three daughters with knife in Malir. According police gruesome incident took place in house in Shamsi Society of metropolis. Motive behind murder is yet to be ascertained.
Taking notice of incident, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah sought report from Karachi Police chief and directed an investigation into killing be conducted at earliest. Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori taking notice of heartbreaking incident in Shamsi Society Malir directed Additional IG Karachi Police for report on incident and instructed to bring involved elements to book under law. Governor prayed for forgiveness of deceased, elevation of ranks and patience for bereaved and for speedy recovery of injured. Governor said that he was deeply saddened to hear incident. Police and rescue teams rushed to spot and shifted bodies and injured to Jinnah Hospital.
Bodies of victims were found with silt throats while killing took place on first floor of house, according to media reports. Tenants living on ground floor of house said they heard screams and cries before murder. Deceased were identified as Huma and her three daughters Fatima, Nimra and Neha. Police also recovered knife from crime scene and forensic teams reached spot to collect evidences.
