Malaysian premier touches down in Pakistan on three-day visit

Islamabad: Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim arrived in Pakistan on three-day official visit.

According to details, PM Ibrahim was welcomed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at Islamabad Airport with verve. PM Shehbaz was flanked by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and other cabinet members.

Malaysian PM was welcomed with great zeal and children wearing traditional dress presented flowers to him. Upon his arrival in Islamabad, PM Ibrahim also received 21-cannon salute.

PM Ibrahim was flanked by high-level delegation, which will meet PM Shehbaz and other leaders to discuss matters pertaining to bilateral relations.

He fondly recalled Malaysian Prime Minister’s telephone call that he received on his first day in office after his re-election.

While reaffirming his strong commitment to further strengthen ties with Malaysia, Shehbaz Sharif reiterated his invitation to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to undertake an official visit to Pakistan later this year.
