Lyari Labor Boxing Club wins "Pegham-e-Pakistan" Karachi Boxing Championship

Karachi:  Chief Secretary Sindh Mr. Sohail Ahmed Rajput has said that finding new talents and bringing them forward and developing their hidden abilities are among our priorities, so that they can go ahead and develop their abilities at the domestic and international level and will keep Pakistan's green flag high in the world.

He was addressing the boxers and officials in the closing ceremony of Pegham-e-Pakistan Karachi Boxing Championship Organized by Karachi Division Boxing Association, with the Collaboration Sindh of Higher Education Commission Sindh, at Ustad Ali Muhammad Qumbrani Boxing Stadium, Kakri Sports Complex, Lyari, to distribute cash, certificates and kits to boxers and officials. Chairman Higher Education Commission Sindh, Dr. SM Tariq Rafi and Secretary Nauman Ahsan, Sindh Boxing Association President Asghar Baloch, Commissioner Karachi Co-ordinator Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Khalid Rahmani from Sports Department, were speaking on the occasion. Ghulam Yasin, Vice President of Sindh Olympic Engineer Mahfouzul Haque, former national boxers Abdul Rauf Qureshi, Sher Muhammad, Muhammad Rustam Baloch, Jameel Khan, Noor Badshah and others were present. Traditional wages were offered. While the duties of referee judges were performed by Waheed Darwish, Ashraf Naz, Uzmi Qamar, Adnan Afridi, Nawab Ali, Murad Bakhsh, 72 boxers of boys and girls class from 16 clubs participated in the one-day competitions while 16 competitions were held in the final. Lyari Labor bagged the first position with three golds while Janbaz Boxing Club bagged the second position with two golds.
