LNH holds medical camp for flood victims in tent city Malir

Karachi: A 15-member free medical camp organised by Liaquat National Hospital (LNH) for flood victims was held in tent city Malir under MDA scheme. Flood victims from all over Sindh were checked up for fever, blood pressure, gynae and various diseases at medical camp and medicines were provided to patients free of cost.
Doctors conducted medical check-ups of women, children and elderly and provided them health tips for preventing from tropical and other ailments such as fever, blood pressure, Dengue, cough, diarrhea and allergies. Dr. Kahkashan told media representatives that Hospital is conducting weekly medical camps in tent city and providing free medicines to patients. By installing camp, we are getting updates about health of patients in rural parts.
Dr. Ali Asghar said that number of flood victims are still present in this tent city. Diarrhea and pregnant women are visiting for check-up. Winter is looming and difficulties of flood victims may increase which will affect their health, so team of Liaquat National Hospital is present here every week for timely health checks.
