KARACHI: Literary Forum Sharjah Centre, vibrant literary and cultural organization, hosted reception in honour of esteemed Pakistani actor and Chairman of Sindh Film Censors Board, Khalid Bin Shaheen. 

Event was organised by Forum’s President Dr. Rahmina Zafar, to celebrate Khalid Bin Shaheen’s recent conferment of prestigious Tamgha-e-Imtiaz award by government of Pakistan and Golden Visa by UAE government. Reception was attended by prominent social, literary and cultural personalities, including President of Literary Forum, Khalid Chaudhry and President of Pakistan Overseas Community Global, Syed Suleman Akhtar. Guests congratulated Khalid Bin Shaheen on his achievements and paid tribute to his contributions to field of acting. Event also marked 77th anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence Day, celebrated with cutting of cake. Guests were presented with gifts as token of appreciation.

Khalid Bin Shaheen, known for his impressive portfolio of drama serials, including internationally acclaimed ‘Jesa Drame Bane’ and ‘Dastaan’, was also presented with an honorary shield by Pakistan Overseas Community Global in recognition of his services. Golden Visa, recently conferred upon Bin Shaheen by UAE Government, is testament to his significant contributions to cultural and artistic landscape of region. Literary Forum Sharjah Centre’s initiative to honor Khalid Bin Shaheen reflects organisation’s commitment to promoting literary and cultural exchange between Pakistan and UAE.
