KARACHI: Excise and Narcotics Department conducted raid in Defence area and recovered drug manufacturing lab-first of kind in country’s history. Director General Excise Sindh Aurangzeb Pehnoor in statement alleged that accused used to convert hashish into liquid form, which can be used in electric cigarettes. Drug was supplied in several posh areas in guise of vape-electric cigarettes.

Meanwhile, during raid, two accused were arrested from scene and two machines and liquid containers were taken into custody. Earlier to this, Pakistan Coast Guards have recovered drugs worth $ 20.86 million from boat in Jiwani, Balochistan. Coast Guard spokesperson said suspects fled scene after seeing team of PCGs. Boat with drugs including 833 kg of hashish and 42 kg of ice was left in boat ashore.
