Li Bijian lauds role of Pakistani media on ‘unbiased reporting’

KARACHI: It is undoubtedly elucidated that Peoples’ Republic of China enjoys very cordial relationship with Pakistan since decades and in times of difficulties, China has always did justice to its close friendship with Pakistan.

Recently, a good gesture from Chinese Consulate in Karachi witnessed in an event where several journalists who cover China reports in their respective media publications and TV channels were awarded with certificates under umbrella of ‘Contribution Made by Friends in Pakistan’.

Chinese Consul General in Karachi Li Bijain while addressing to gathering of senior journalists and editors expressed immense happiness on support and cooperation which Pakistani media fraternity providing to China. Li Bijain said, “It is a good omen that positive and right content on China is being published without any prejudice and at same time these publications have played phenomenal role in setting aside negative western media perception about China.” Chinese CG also lauded journalists for sticking firm to impartial reporting regarding China on routine basis. In speeches at event, several journalists highlighted some interesting information about China, way country played vital role in eradication of poverty, how China became fastest growing economy in world and also shed light on elongated brotherly ties that exists between Pakistan and China. The event was attended by senior journalists, editors of different publications.
