LHC reserves verdict on admissibility of plea against Punjab CM

LAHORE: Lahore High Court Tuesday reserved its verdict on maintainability of petition seeking removal of caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi. LHC judge Justice Muhammad Raza Qureshi heard petition filed by citizen, Hassan Latif pertaining to expiry of caretaker setup in Punjab.
During hearing, Justice Qureshi inquired of lawyer if he had submitted similar petition earlier and then withdrew it. “Result of this petition will also be same as I had told you on that day,” judge remarked. Then he asked lawyer what date Supreme Court had given for polls in Punjab?
Justice Qureshi remarked that case is subjudice in Supreme Court, ‘how can we hear this case’. He advised lawyer to wait for decision of apex court.
