LAHORE: Judge of Lahore High Court (LHC) has excused from hearing petition filed against non-allowing to hold Aurat March. Petition against non-allowing to hold Aurat March came up for hearing in LHC.

Justice Muzammal Akhtar Shabbir recused from hearing petition.

Judge has recommended to fix case for hearing before some other bench. File has been sent to Chief Justice of LHC. Petition was filed by organisers of Aurat March. It is pertinent to mention here that Lahore Administration refused to give permission to organise Aurat March in Nasir Bagh, Alhamra, Aiwan-e-Iqbal and on Mall road in view of protest by different organisations.

Caretaker information Minister Punjab Aamir Mir said no hindrance will be created by government in holding Aurat March. Full police security will be provided to participants of Aurat March. Amir Mir said in statement safety of women participants of Aurat March will be ensured fully.
