LHC approves interim bail of Asad Umar till April 7

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has approved interim bail plea of PTI leader till April 7 in vandalising case. Case pertaining to vandalsing and violence against police came up for hearing before court yesterday.
Court directed PTI leader Asad Umar to submit surety bonds worth Rs 100,000. Court also ordered him to join investigation. It is pertinent to mention here Shadman Police has registered case against Asad Umar. Court had earlier rejected interim bail plea of Asad Umar for not appearing in court.
Meanwhile, Lahore High Court has extended till April 6 its orders against denotifying PTI members of National Assembly (MNA). Petition from PTI MNAs against acceptance of their resignation came up for hearing before single bench of LHC led by Justice Shahid Karim. Petitioners took plea in petition that they had withdrawn their resignations before their acceptance. Resignations were accepted against rules set by Supreme Court. Petitioners further said speaker National Assembly accepted their resignations for subjecting them to political vendetta. It has been requested in petition court should nullify notifications of Speaker NA and Election Commission.
