LHC allows PTI leader Shahbaz Gill to visit US for 4 weeks

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has allowed PTI leader Shahbaz Gill to go to US for 4 weeks. Petition against placing Shahbaz Gull name in ECL came up for hearing before 3-member full court   presided over by Cheif Justice (CJ) LHC here yesterday. Chief Justice remarked under what law name of petitioner was placed in ECL. What is such situation under which decision is taken to put name in ECL. Petitoner case falls in what category.

Counsel for federal government said cases are registered in Islamabad against Shahbaz Gull His name has been placed in ECL on request of Commissioner Islamabad. This matter relates to Islamabad. Court has no jurisdiction to hear it. Counsel for Shahbaz Gill has filed application with federal government for removing his name from ECL. This matter will be discussed in next meeting of Cabinet.

PTI leader Shahbaz Gill also appeared in court during hearing of case. Court while allowing Shahbaz Gull to go to US for 4 weeks has summoned reply from federal government on matter of including name of Shahbaz Gill in ECL.
