LG Minister Nasir Shah praises organisers of Water, Energy fair

Karachi: Sindh Local Government Minister and Chairman Water Board Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Chief Executive Officer Water Board Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed and Chief Operating Officer Water Board Engineer Asadullah Khan visited three-day Pak Water and Energy Expo organised under Prime Event Management.

Visiting exhibition and taking detailed look at various stalls Minister said that exhibition will benefit a lot, exhibition will also introduce new technologies as various companies are exhibiting their latest technology and products in exhibition. 

He said that appointment of CEO Water Board Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed and COO Water Board Engineer Asadullah Khan will improve water supply and drainage system in city. 

EO Water Board and COO Water Board also held detailed meeting with local and foreign exhibitors. More technologies are being brought with support of World Bank and there is a need to install clean water plants in slums, he said. Two treatment plants are running while more treatment plants will be installed, he added. Measures will be taken for supply of clean water in city, Asadullah Khan said. Such exhibitions will also create opportunities for technology exchange. He said that government is serious in providing water and better drainage facilities to citizens as it is joint cooperation of World Bank and Sindh government.

He said that various schemes of water supply and drainage are being worked out. During exhibition, organising director Prime Event Management Kamran Abbasi briefed them on objective of sixth exhibition and will continue till tomorrow.  Minister praised Kamran as more than two hundred companies are participating in exhibition, for which organiser deserves congratulations.
