The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Extends Invitation to Disgruntled Leaders Latif Khosa and Aitzaz Ahsan for Lahore Central Executive Committee Meeting on September 14.

Lahore: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has extended invitations to all dissatisfied party members, including Latif Khosa and Aitzaz Ahsan, urging them to participate in the upcoming Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting scheduled for September 14, according to sources reported by a private news channel.

Prominent PPP leaders, Sardar Latif Khosa and Aitzaz Ahsan, have been at odds with the party's leadership due to their past support for former Prime Minister Imran Khan during his legal challenges. Notably, both leaders were also invited to the previous CEC meeting held in Karachi, with Aitzaz Ahsan attending while Mr. Khosa abstained.

A senior PPP official stated that invitations have been extended to both Khosa and Ahsan for the forthcoming CEC meeting, which is set to take place on September 14. Sources familiar with the matter have revealed that while Khosa, who previously received a show-cause notice for expressing support for the incarcerated PTI chairman, may attend the meeting via video link, Aitzaz Ahsan is yet to confirm his attendance at the Lahore CEC gathering.

Meanwhile, former President Asif Ali Zardari and ex-Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari are scheduled to arrive in Lahore today to prepare the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for the upcoming general elections. The PPP leaders will convene a meeting of the PPP Central Executive Committee (CEC) at Bilawal House tomorrow at 3:00 PM.

The agenda of the Lahore meeting will encompass discussions on elections and the party's strategic positioning in central Punjab.
