LAHORE: Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mehmood Dogar refused to obey orders of Establishment Division. CCPO also decided to challenge his suspension orders issued by Establishment Division. It is to be noted here that CCPO has not left his post despite his suspension orders by Establishment Division.
He has also decided to go to court against federal government’s decision of suspending him. Rifts between federal and Punjab government have begun to plague police department. Legal experts said that it is illegal for CCPO to remain in office despite being suspended.
CCPO had been removed from office by federal government, but Punjab government stopped him from reporting to Establishment Division. CCPO had been sent three notices by Establishment Division to leave post immediately, but he did not respond to even a single notice. CCPO has also started consultation with legal experts.
